Luke Dorny

I have several sketch-related posts because I’m doing it so often.

This post is to show all of the decals I put on my new larger sketchbook. The last one took more than two years to fill!

I will add sketches from that book to this post when I get home.

So many feelings when finishing one book and moving on to a new one.

Seen above is the A3 (sometimes an A4!) Art Collection hardbacked Moleskine sketchbook, which has firmer and more opaque blank paper.

I frequently integrate markers and pens atop my horribly-made sketches, just to add a bit more vision to all of the chaos.

Most of the time I sketch with a fairly large leadholder using a sort of spinning motion while drawing, to keep the lead tip not too dull.

I annotate each session with the date/time, place, and guests that are with me.

I’ll update this with supply links as I have the time.

I will also prepare to publish the small posts written about local coffee, locally roasted coffee, and more. Stay tuned.

Today's music playlist added!

It’s been more than 30 days and I finally opened up my computer to see what’s on it at home. This page opened!

I’m going to make a new post with art supplies I enjoy. I think this post was originally about the event of starting a new sketchbook. We’ll leave it at that.
