One of the first comic books that ever blew my mind and let me realize that comic books weren’t just art was Silver Surfer.
The character has seen various design styles in inking over the years as the artists changed and reinterpreted him, but this has to be the most compelling in my view. Artistically sparse, little graphical definition, …and the writing was filled with angsty doom and galactic pain.
