Here’s the list of Redesigners

Redesign

After being called to the stage by a great friend and industry magnate Greg Storey to release my new site redesign, along with all of my new articles and updates, it was seen by The Jeffrey, an industry great, design leader, mentor, creator of the massively influential conferences related to Web Standards AnEventApart, a long list of incomparable industry publications (the AListApart site & the ABookApart print series) and advice to designers and developers like myself the world over, etc., etc., (the list is too long), and then wrote about it on his site as well as on the Automattic design site.

And just as an unexpected bouquet can brighten the day for someone we love, in the sites we design for partners, we can be on the lookout for opportunities to pleasantly surprise with unexpected, little, loving details. — Jeffrey Zeldman

I mean, this is exactly what I loved doing to my site. It has a cost, and the site is not ‘magnificent’ per se, or efficient, or optimized for X, Y, or Z, but it’s a start. Thank you, Jeffrey.

Dorny’s website is a reminder of the web we lost, as some would say. — Greg Storey

Well said, because that was exactly what I was aiming for and had yet to create from so many years back. Thank you, Greg.

Blush

I was quite surprised. I’m still a little baffled at my work being hoisted up for anyone to see, but this was quite flabbergasting.

Results

I’m quite happy to say that the act of publishing the new design has been creating at least one or two discussions among friends and colleagues about the joys of designing your own website, and all of the work and consideration that goes into it. As a result, Greg launched his redesign as well, and others have, too.

Toast

To you, Jeffrey Zeldman, much respect and honor for your life’s work and contributions to the world of web as we know it. You keep the inspiration and conversations going that push the web forwards.
