From an early mockup in the 1980s til now, this device waited for it’s chance to shine, which it does.

That disk eject action gets me every time.

From asking the original creator Hartmut Esslinger from frog design for permission, to updating the exact design to allow for HDMI and other style ports while staying mostly true to the original design, there’s lots to enjoy about this walkthrough of reimagining a beautifully designed device for the current age.
