That’s not what MVKB stands for, though. It stands for Max Voltar Key Boards… or so I imagine.

Tim has been a long time friend and acquaintance, and he has a stellar career story, having worked with and for some incredible companies and people in the web design and web app communities.

Tim Van Damme has been mastering this sidequest of his for some time now, and I do believe he’s achieved the unreachable goal of being a powerhouse in the industry.

Attached is a snapshot from his Eraser key cap set, which, I gotta say, really sketches out the concept quite convincingly. I can definitely make out the smell of the eraser in my mind.

Previous works

His other works in keyboards include some legendary sets such as T3RMINAL, KOMMAND, and several others, which have sold out quickly and are difficult to keep up with as it develops so quickly, and he has a serious following. I say this because I track down his site occasionally to see the status of his projects and click through to stockists around the world. The custom keyboard world moves both quickly and insanely slow, as manufacturers ramp up a production line based on pre-orders sometimes depending on the project.

Getting into custom keyboards is a dance of both timing and patience. And he has become well-respected and a master of the industry.
